I have a short bed dodge2017 I have the Anderson ultimate hitch with BandW turn over ball can I install the sidewinder pin box to gain space between cab and 5th wheel ?

I have another option but unfortunately neither the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch or the B&W Turnover ball gooseneck hitch are compatible with a rotating pin box like the Reese sidewinder you mentioned.

Instead I recommend using the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3400 which will install into the B&W Turnover ball already installed on your 2017 Ram Short Bed, and will give you 12" of front to back travel for additional clearance when making sharp turns.

If you wanted to use a rotating pin box like the Reese sidewinder you would need to remove your B&W Turnover ball, and install the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ram Truck # C16427-104 if your truck is a 2500, or # BWRVK2605 if your truck is a 3500. These rails allow you to use a fixed hitch like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115 with Wedge # RP64FR.
