Does Curt Hitch C60633 Require Removing Exhaust Brackets and Spare

Hi Is it really necessary to remove the exhaust bracket and spare tire ?

I checked with Curt and the install of the Curt gooseneck hitch # C60633 does require lowering the exhaust by removing the exhaust hangers but there isn't any mention of the spare being removed. It will be easier with the spare out of the way though.
