Determining Correct Replacement Axles For 2021 Grand Design Solitude 390RK
Updated 12/02/2020 | Published 11/29/2020 >
Question:
Hello, I have a 2021 Grand Designs Solitude 390RK. It has factory 7k axels under it and would like to upgrade to 8 or 9k axles. Running the 7k’s we only have 2,100LBS of payload between dry and GVW. I want to go with Dexter but need to know what dimensions and leaf spring set up to get. Thanks

To know the correct replacement axles for your 2021 Grand Design Solitude 390RK you will need to know the manufacturer and serial number on your current axles, or you will need to measure your current axles from hub face to hub face and from spring seat to spring seat. I included a diagram that shows you how to measure your axles and a link to all of our axles for you to take a look at.
Something to keep in mind is that upgrading your axles and suspension will not increase your GVWR, as changing your axles and suspension does not change the frame structure to support additional weight above the manufacturer's limit.
If you can find the sticker on your axle's with the serial number and manufacturer, or the measurements of your axle I would be happy to recommend a replacement axle that will work for your trailer.
