Can Tankless Water Heater LSB44FR Fit in Space Where Atwood Heater G6A8E Was

Question:

My water gets hot but only stays hot for a few seconds? Also there is a switch for the Atwood that turns red and another regular light switch under it.. What are these for and how do they operate? Will this fit where my atwood g6a-8e goes? Is it hard to install and is it electric or propane or combo

Let's start with the tankless heater you asked about, and the RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR measures 14-3/8" long x 15" wide x 15" tall so it should not have any issue fitting in the same space of your Atwood G6A-8E, which is the discontinued Dometic AT96121. That heater measures 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep but has a 14" tall door, so if you have a bit of extra room in height you should be able to replace it with the Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR.

The tankless heater is strictly a gas heater, and installation should only be done by qualified professionals so it is not something a DIYer should be attempting. When they are doing the install, the other part needed is the Camco RV Water Heater Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve # CAM10423.

In regards to the temperature, though I'm not quite sure what switch you are are referring to as I couldn't find anything in the manual about it, the water temperature could be caused by a bevy of issues, like the bypass valves in a bad position. We wouldn't be in a position to know for sure and the only option is going to be to have it serviced by a technician.
