To replace your Atwood RV Water Heater, Model #GC10A-4E, the direct replacement is the Atwood RV Water Heater - Gas and Electric - part # AT94022. This is the new version of your existing water heater, so it will have all the same features like a 10-gallon capacity, automatic pilot with electronic ignition and 10,000 BTU.

The Double-Panel On/Off Switch - part # AT91230 - will allow you to power the electric and gas components on and off individually. It mounts in your coach for easy operation. The Replacement Door - part # AT91385 - will protect the components.

@Daver We don't have any Atwood water heaters any longer as they got out of the business basically. We have tankless water heaters that would be a great option if that's something you'd be interested in.

@JamesonC I have the same Atwood model that has gone out. How does the tankless work? Is it gas and electric or gas only?

@Steve It's gas that heats the water. The gas heats the water as it runs through the system so basically any water that goes through it is as hot as you want without having to worry about running out.

@JamesonC I have to replaced a busted Atwood GC10A-3E. I am looking for any recommendations as far as good replacements whether Dometic or tankless, I just need the hookups to be the same, and the wiring to work as well. It seems like when looking for full replacements that the Tankless route could be cheaper, I just need to find the right one. I have an older RV [2002 Fleetwood Bounder 39R] and prefer running the water heater primarily off of LP, because the electrical system is not always reliable (the LP system always fires up and doesn't drain battery power). It seems like the models that would be a good direct replacement for my old Atwood GC10A-3E could be: -Suburban: 5242A SW10D or the tankless suburban model being 5382A -Dometic: WH-10GEA 95001SP Any recommendations for tankless heater packages would be hugely appreciated. I will be ordering this water heater tomorrow morning, so if any agents can help me with this quickly it would be a great help. I just received a Fogatti Insta-Shower 7 today and it was too small, but also the exhaust port would have had to be jimmy rigged because the door panel exhaust port on my RV is on a different side than the Fogattis. Thank You
