Correct Replacement for Demco DA66B Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator

I’m and oooking at the item Demco Brake Actuator - DM8608601 for my trailer. My trailer already has a demco hydraulic tounge. Is there a way to know if this is a direct bolt on replacement for my trailer. It’s a basic steel deck double axle car trailer. The current demco tounge on the trailer says 6000lbs da66b is all I can make out on it.

The Demco Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator part # DM72VR will be a direct replacement for a DA66B. It will mount using the same holes so install will be a breeze. The bottom hole can be left untouched.

I do have a potential solution for you, but we do not offer a surge brake actuator designed to fit over a 4" channel. Your best bet would be to use a weld on actuator like the Demco #DM8759922, which can be welded to the top of the tongue.…

Thanks for the picture Richard, I can tell by your picture you have a Model 6 surge actuator on your trailer which the #T4846500183 is the correct replacement for if you were wanting a channel style inner slide member replacement.
