Can You Overcharge Your RVs Battery While it is Being Towed

Question:
Siss, Maams, I am wondering if there is a product that I can install on the RV battery that will prevent over charging while Im towing the RV. I have two new batteries and just as soon as I hook them up and take off they are going to be overcharged and damaged as a result. Thank you

No need to worry.
The 7-way connection on your RV does in fact draw power from your vehicle's 12V battery.
However, the amount that is shared from your vehicle's battery is only enough to keep the RV's battery level. In other words, it trickle charges the battery to keep it level and will never give enough power to exceed the starting level of battery.
Of course, that can give you a different problem: not being able to charge both of your batteries up more when they're low. For that, you can use a charger like the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Charger, part # 331-BCDC1225D. It allows you to charge your batteries from the vehicle battery and from solar panels as well. Plus, it has fault recognition technology to prevent overheating and voltage spikes if you're still worried about that. I've linked to a video review of this charger for you.
