What is Minimum Crossbar Length for Fitting Two Thule Hullavator Kayak Carriers

What is min length of cross bar needed to mount two Hullavator when the Kayaks are 32 inches wide? I know the Hullavator is able to handle Kayaks up to 36 inches. Why does Thule not advise the mounting of two on one vehicle?

To use two Thule Hullavators # TH898 on the roof of a vehicle you'll want crossbars that are right at 60 inches. The number isn't totally exact as the width of the kayaks gets factored in as well but 60 inch bars is right at the minimum for standard applications.

You can fit 2 kayaks on the 50 inch Yakima JetStream crossbars #Y00425 if you use the right kind of kayak carrier. You can use the Yakima JayLow #Y04073 which has a 2-kayak capacity. I have included a link to a video review of this carrier for you.
