Question:
Hi, I have a 2015 Scion XB and Im having a 1-1/4inch hitch put on. Im wanting to use a Thule T2 Pro XT bike rack for two 60 lb e-bikes that has a 2inch receiver. Is this safe to use an adapter? And these two bikes are step-throughs with fenders, will the Thule hold down arms work with those bikes?

If you are wanting to carry your two 60 lb ebikes on your 2015 Scion XB you need to get the Class II hitch from Curt # C12490. This will give you the most amount of weight capacity. The Thule T2 Pro XT # TH83JV needs to be used with a class III hitch and has a wheel hook which isn't designed to work for bikes with fenders. There is no Class III hitch option for your Scion so we will need to find a more suitable option. We need an option that does not require a hitch adapter because when an adapter is used, it lowers the capacity of the hitch and we need all the capacity we can get.
The Swagman Current # S64678 can hold 60 lbs per bike, fits in a 1-1/4 shank and uses a frame hook instead of a wheel hook. You will need to get an adapter though # 64005 because you have step through bikes.
I've included a couple videos for you to check out!
