Question:
I have a 2002 Sylvan 1600 Adventurer V Boat and a Sylvan 2000 trailer. I am getting up in age and the last couple of years my boat has gotten difficult to unload and very difficult to load up and get centered. I think I need new roller assemblies? V Sylvan 16 foot boat having trouble loading boat always seems to miss roller. Please help. The boat is always pulling left when loading. I have two 8 inch Keel rollers on this trailer. Looking at the keel rollers I see that they may be getting old and not helping my situation. I will attach pictures of my boat loaded and the Keel Rollers and it will show that the boat is off to the left side of the rollers even after trying everything to center it. I need a system that will easily always center my boat when loading and make it easier to unload. I need recommendations please. I see a QandA you referenced the following: If you just want to replace the roller assembly you have now, then the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10401G is what I recommend. However, if you are having trouble aligning with the roller then you might want to consider a larger roller assembly like the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10403G which is 8 wide. These options will both work great with your deep v style hull. But I am wondering if the Self-Centering Keel Roller can make life so much easier putting my boat back on trailer and centered? CE Smith Keel Roller for Boat Trailers - Self Centering - PVC - 12 - 5/8 Shaft – Amber Item # CE29505 My boat is very temperamental trying to get it perfectly centered. Would it work to install this Centering Roller in the front and install a new 8 inch CE Smith Deep V Roller Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10403G which is 8 wide in the back? Or do I have to install the same keel rollers in both places as the boat has now? Please advise with part numbers. Thank you.

I have a few options to help with loading the boat on the trailer but the best would have to be the CE Smith Keel Roller for Boat Trailers part # CE29505. In order to mount them you'd need the Roller Shaft with Pal Nuts part # CE10727A and CE Smith Panel Bracket part # CE10305G. I would stick with the same type of roller for the front and rear of the boat trailer.
