Question:

I want to add a tow hitch to my 2021 Telluride, which is the best hitch receiver and is it easy to install for a novice?

The etrailer # e95ZR Class III hitch is what I'd recommend, because you won't need to trim the bumper fascia as you would with the Curt # C13420. As far as degree of difficulty goes, we rate the etrailer hitch as being a 4 on a scale of 1-10. If you're fairly handy, you shouldn't have much trouble. The only specialty tool that would be needed is a torque wrench, but you can always borrow one from that neighbor that always borrows your lawn mower. I'll link you to the installation instructions, so you can see if it's something you'd feel comfortable taking on.

If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll also need a wiring harness, like # CU94FR a ball mount like # 2753 and a # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball. In addition to the hitch instructions, I've linked to an install video for the hitch wiring.
