Question:
I have a boat trailer with hydraulic surge brakes and 10inch drums. I saw your article about using Part numbers #23-105 and -106 to convert to electric brakes and the article said I would need to change my 10inch hubs/drums to 12. What part numbers would I need for the 12inch drums and hubs? Thanks!

You don't need to convert from 10 inch drums to 12 inch. The brake mounting flange, the spindle size, and other components will not allow that anyway with your current axles. You can simply use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA for the electric brake assembly on each axle and then use the Trailer Hub/Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized # AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K.
Then for the wiring, I recommend using the # 12-1-1 and the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector # HS381-9000. You simply want to disconnect the trailer connection before backing the trailer into the water. After pulling the trailer out of the water, wait a minute to let water drain before reconnecting to the tow vehicle.
