Thoroughly Tested for Safety

This hub-and-drum assembly meets the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA creates standards, which when complied with ensure a safe and quality product. This assembly underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. This assembly has also been tested by QAI for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.

E-Z Lube and Easy Grease-Compatible Assembly for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub-and-drum assembly is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube or etrailer Easy Grease axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

  • How To Determine If Boat Trailer has 10 Inch or 12 Inch Brake Assemblies
When determining if you need 10 inch or 12 inch brake assemblies there are a couple of easy things to check to confirm the fit for your trailer. The first thing is you can measure the diameter of your hub. The second thing is you can look at the brake flange, if it has 4 bolts then it is 10 inch if it has 5 then it is 12 inch. Because you know you have a #84 spindle we can be confident that you have a 3,500 lb axle and you will need the 10 inch assemblies. I recommend the Hydraulic...

  • Replacement Hub and Drums and Brakes for EZ Loader Boat Trailer
If you are going to replace the axles and hubs then our hubs will come with the proper bearings. But in order to determine the correct bearings you would either need to replace the axles first and then tell me which axles you have so I can find hubs to match or if the axles are exactly the same as the old axles you could tell me the inner and outer bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings. I checked the EZ loader site and did not see replacement axles as an option so I am...

  • Replacement Timbren Axle-Less System and Hydraulic Brake Assembly for 3,500 lb Axles on Boat Trailer
I would love to help you upgrade your suspension components! I am guessing that you have 3,500 lb axles on your trailer but if you could verify that it would help me to make sure that I recommend the correct parts for you. Also, are you looking to add brakes to both axles or just keep them on one pair? You would get more braking power and less wear with brakes on all of the axles but if you only want them on one then that will also play into the parts.

  • What Hubs And Parking Brake Ready BRakes Go With Timbren 2,200 lb Axle-Less Suspension?
Hello Casey, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like the 2,200 lb Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR1THDS03 will be sufficient for your build. Even if the GVWR is 1,500 lbs and your water tank is full, you would still be safely under 2,200 lbs, so the suspension would work well for that. If you want to set them up with parking brake ready electric brakes, you can use the following: - Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes - Parking Brake Ready - 10" - Left/Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K...

  • Replacement Hub Recommendation for a Boat Trailer with L68149 Inner and L44649 Outer Bearings
Good morning, Harold! To replace the hubs on your boat trailer I recommend either the Idler # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K or the Hub/Drum # AKHD-545-35-G-EZ-K because they have a galvanized finish so they will hold up much better to water than the standard black powder coat finish that we see with all the other options. Attached are some installation videos you can reference to help you finish your project.

With your trailer being in an environment where it is exposed to both salt water and fresh water I would highly recommend going with a disc brake setup. You will need 4 of the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Assemblies # DE89YR with a Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit # CAR-HBA16-2. Thank you for the pictures Matt. I do see you have the backing plate for the brakes so you are most likely going to have #84 spindle since your axle has a 3,000lb capacity. You can verify this by removing one of your hubs and measuring the landings for the grease seal(1.719"), inner bearing(1.378") and outer bearing(1.063"). • Recommending A Replacement Hub And Bearings For A 2019 Forest River Wildwood Toy Hauler
I am happy to help set you up, but we do not have a database that would tell us bearing sizes based on a year, make and model. If only it were so easy, right? You may be able to get that information from a forest river dealership if you give them your VIN. Otherwise you would have to pull a hub and get the numbers from both bearings.
