Question:
What is better, white or black for heat transfer onto the top of your slide out?
asked by: Ronald W
Helpful Expert Reply:
If you're in an area where the sun is constantly beating down, using a white slideout topper like the Solera # LCV000163285 as opposed to a black one like the # LCV000168105 is definitely the way to go. Black tends to make things hotter, so if your goal is try to keep the awning fabric from attracting heat and potentially damaging the slideout under it, white is the way to go.
I've also linked our entire selection of white slideout toppers in case you need a different size.
