What size is the thread? My carrier is old and needs an 8mm thread. Is this 8mm?

I checked on the thread size on the replacement knob, # 753-0737-10, and it was 8mm. This knob is the one on the side of the Spare Me bike rack where the arms pivot. The matching carriage bolt is # 915-0880-11
