If we purchase both a mount and a ball, does eTrailer install the ball to the mount, or is there availability to purchase that as an option?

Expert Reply:

A hitch ball does not come mounted to the Brophy Ball Mount with 4" Drop or 3" Rise # EA40, and there is not a way to get that as an option.

For the hitch balls that work with this mount, either the 2" Hitch Ball # EH68C-C or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # SC30-C, you will need to torque them to 250 ft-lbs according to Brophy. If for some reason you are unable to get that installed yourself, a local installer should be able to tighten the hitch ball to the necessary ft-lbs.
