Should Air Bag Suspension Kit be Used with RoadActive Suspension On Toyota Tundra

Updated 06/17/2020 | Published 06/16/2020

Question:

I purchased this product from e-trailer for my 2016 Toyota Tundra. I have Firestone ride right airbags installed. Upon install, should my airbags be inflated or deflated?

Helpful Expert Reply:

With the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS3611-SHD installed on your 2016 Toyota Tundra you would be fine to reduce the air bag pressure down to the minimum pressure of 5 psi. The RAS system should give you plenty of support and not require you to also have the bags providing support. If you find yourself in a situation where you need the bags inflated as well you are probably overloading the vehicle.
