Question:
Hello, The normal roadmasters say 2000lbs capacity and the heavy duty are 3000lbs capacity, but I do not know what this is in relation to? I have a Transit 350 that will be somewhere in the 8000-8500 neighborhood with gear and we do not plan to tow. Should we be considering the normal or the heavy duty roadmaster? Is there any drawback to going with the heavy duty in case our load requirements or towing changes? Thanks.

The 2000lb rating of the RoadActive Suspension # RAS3623-GT or 3000lb rating of the Heavy Duty Version # RAS3623-HD refers to the amount of support that each kit will add to your rear suspension. This is not counting the weight of your vehicle, but just weight added like tongue weight of a trailer or weight from heavy cargo.
These kits are unique in the sense that they do not stiffen up your suspension and give you a harsh ride like other styles of suspension enhancement, and instead improve the loaded and unloaded ride quality of your 2019 Ford Transit T350 by eliminating axle wrap, body roll, and sway.
Keep in mind neither of these kits fit the Dual Rear Wheel, 350HD, or Cutaway Chassis models.
Either option will be fine sine you are not towing a trailer with your vehicle, so I recommend the # RAS3623-GT as it is more cost effective.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
