Installing Roof Vent Gasket # BVD0455-01

Question:
The old seal appeared to have glue on it. No instructions with the new seal. Does it just push on, or should I be applying some sort of sealant/glue? Is there a preferred direction of the seal - I ask because one side has a horizontal rib on it. Should that go outside of vent or inside?

The seal will push right on, but I would recommend using a few dots of adhesive to secure the seal in place. I would not recommend using a super glue, as it can melt plastics and weld things together. A few small dabs of silicone sealant would be enough to ensure that the seal stays in place.
The seal should be installed so that the rib you speak of is on the outside of the vent.
