Question:

does this part take place of the existing tow hooks on 05 hummer h2 ? just remove hooks and slide bx4102 in their place. no large plate on frame. thanks

Yes, you are correct; your 2005 Hummer H2 will not have a large plate on the frame when installing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX4102.

I have added a link to the instructions which detail this, but essentially these base plates are simply going to replace your existing tow hooks, like you mentioned. There are a number of other parts you'll need to flat tow your 2005 Hummer H2, and I'll recommend the parts you need.
