Question:
Current tire/wheel setup on a small 14foot fishing boat trailer is 4 on 4 with 155 SR 12 tires. Planning to do a full swap of wheels and tires. Would these make a good replacement? Cant find much info to compare with on the current ones. Width, diameter, etc... Thanks in advance!

Expert Reply:
Your 155 SR 12 tires are a little over 6 inches wide and about 21-3/4 inches in diameter. The 4.80-12 tires you looked at, part # AM30620, are quite a bit smaller than this at 4.8 inches wide and 20-1/2 inches in diameter.
A closer size we have is a 145/80-12 size tire which is about half an inch smaller on both measurements compared to your current ones. A better option for you is part # AM35351DX. It's a slightly larger tire on the same wheel. It also has a little higher weight capacity and it's a radial tire which is better for highway use.
