Comparing Tekonsha Prodigy P2 and Curt TriFlex Brake Controllers for a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

Tekonsa or Triflex I have a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 short bed regular cab I want a hood brake controller with adapter for my truck which from the 2 above is the best for a 2200 lb car trailer 7000lbs gvw? I do have the factory 7 pin at rear of vehicle as I have to use a converter to pull my 6x10 trailer. Thank you

The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3015-P is what I recommend for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 over the Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV with the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers part # C51352.

The Curt TriFlex and Tekonsha Prodigy are both good options with similar features but the Prodigy is much more proven and has been around longer.
