Question:
How does the Redarc compare to the P3 in performance and reliability? Towing a 3 axle 20,000lbs trailer... I have looked for reviews and posted questions to several RV groups on Facebook and Im not finding anyone with experience with the Redarc controller. I like the concept, but I want to know that I am buying a product that is as good as or better than Tekonsha P3 in performance and reliability. Will be installed on an 08 Dodge 3500. I will try to attach a picture of my rig. Thanks for any feedback.

The RedArc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR is comparable in reliability and performance to the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. The difference is really in the design and features. One of the greatest aspects of the P3 is the LCD screen and presets. One of the greatest aspects of the Tow-Pro Elite is the size and mounting location. Both have very usable features and use different methods of communication for diagnostics and modes. Both have the manual override options and are top of the line controllers.
The RedArc Tow-Pro Elite is my personal favorite because I like the clean look and LEDs. If I were wanting to have constant visible diagnostics, then my opinion would sway the opposite way. You can't go bad with either controller. I've attached videos to assist.
The installation of the P3 is slightly easier with a harness, where the Tow-Pro requires you get a similar harness and splice it. For either application you will want the # 3020-P for your wiring harness to connect to your factory harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
