Bearings and Seals for Dexter 3,000 lb Axle with EZ Lube Spindles

Updated 06/04/2025 | Published 04/16/2020

Question:

We recently bought a used A-liner camper. I want to check the axle bearings and seals before heading out on a trip. I know it has a Dexter 3000# torque spring axle with brakes. The axle has a serial number: 122026711. There is another number CA 1301006. Can you help me with the parts I might need? Thanks

A 3,000 lb axle is an odd size but I was able to find what you need. There isn't a kit, but you can get the bearings which are available individually. You will need bearing # LM67048 and bearing # L44649 for each hub. You will also need grease seal # 58846.

I think I have the same axle on my Aliner. Different SN but here is the axle model. CA1301006 The trailer may have 15-20K miles on it and about 5 years. Bearings seem fine but is it a good idea to replace them regardless? Would it make sense to replace them with EZ lube bearings and hubs?

@BoulderM If the bearings are still good there's really no reason to replace them. But it's probably a good idea to have a spare set on hand.
