Question:
You answered a question a person had about the ability to replace swing bars without having to replace the head, and your reply was it depends on the age of the set up. How would I find out the age of my set up? I currently have 1200# bars and need to have 1400#. Thanks

I'm not sure how to find out the age of your setup, but when I passed your photos along to my contact at Equal-i-zer he said that all you need to do for the upgraded system is swap out your 12K head unit for the 14K # EQ90-02-1400. Since your hardware looks like it's seen better days you might also consider replacing those with part # EQ90-02-9100 while you're at it.
The reason you only need to swap out the head is because the 12K and 14K Equal-i-zer systems both has the same size bars so it's just a matter of how the head is designed. They still label their bars as 12K and 14K to help avoid confusion when the system is being used.
