Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Equal-i-zer weight distribution shank. Now, this is a shank for your Equal-i-zer weight distribution system, and it's a solid steel piece that's gonna slide directly into your trucks, 2 1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver, and it's going to give you the mounting points that you need for the weight distribution head assembly. Now, one of the big benefits, of course, is going to be adjustability. This has six adjustment holes, which are gonna let you position the head assembly at the right height.

That way you can properly level your trailer with your tow vehicle, which is key for safe and stable towing. Now, you can either use this in the drop position as I have it now, or flip this over and use it in the rise position. If you use it in the drop position, this is going to give you about four inches of drop. If you flip it over and put it in the rise position, you're gonna get about eight inches of rise, again, to match the coupler height of your trailer. This is constructed of dipped steel, so it's designed to hold up really well for you.

It's going to resist corrosion, so it's designed for regular towing use. As far as capacity goes, this is made for heavier duty applications with a maximum gross towing weight of 16,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 1,600 pounds. Before I leave you, let me give you some measurements. Looking at the overall length, just end to end, 16 inches, (tape measure clacking) The overall height, right about 9 1/2 inches.
