Hello, I want to install the 48474 Endurance™ Multi-Tow 7 Blade and 4 Flat Vehicle Side connector in my 2013 Honda Pilot. I also need the connect to my factory harness as there was no trailer wiring on my vehicle from factory. Or, to put it a better way, I need item #118265 but with the dual connector in item # 48474. I want the 4 flat and the 7 blade both. How do I get there with the least amount or none prefereably splicing?

It's actually more simple than you think, but they don't make a 4/7 way connector for your 2013 Honda Pilot, so you will need to piece it together.

To start, you'll need to use the Tekonsha # 118265 kit for your 2013 Honda Pilot and then just swap the plug out in that kit for the Hopkins plug # HM48470. This will allow you to put a 4 and 7 way combo on your 2013 Honda Pilot and allow you to tow trailers with both plugs.

When mounting a transmission cooler you want to install it in a location that will provide it with the max air flow as possible. Typically in front of the radiator is the best as that's where the vehicle was designed to provide the most air flow.…

On the vehicle side of the connector there should be a small tab that will need to be slightly lifted, which typically can be done with a very small screwdriver, while pulling the two connectors apart.

If the trailer you wish to tow has a 7-way connector, the wiring harness I recommend is part #118265. If you just need a 4-way trailer connector on your 2014 Pilot, the wiring harness you need is part #118558.
