Question:
Do these affect the ride when you are empty? I put a similar product on a 2006 Dodge Durango and it made the ride very bouncy when not pulling a trailer. It made the ride very uncomfortable.

In regards to ride quality, this would be unaffected while unloaded unless going over bumps or large dips in the road. The correct Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for a 2016 Ram 1500 is part # TDR1500DQ. That said, when this happens I do have to agree that the ride can be rather bouncy. However, I have the perfect solution for you in the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-307-47. The SumoSprings are not as firm as the Tumbrens so they will not be as rough when going over bumps unloaded and they will still provide plenty of support while loaded. They are equally easy to install as well for the most part. The SumoSprings are what I recommend for you.
