The trailer hitch that I recommend for a 2020 GMC Terrain is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76419 because it has a hidden design which means you won't see the bulky, unsightly cross tube from the rear of the vehicle so you won't take away from its aesthetics. I have attached a photo of this clean look for you as well. In addition to aesthetics, the hidden design makes for the best ground clearance.
If you will be towing a trailer then you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C94FR.
