thinking on purchasing a roll to put in my trailer. How do you install it glue it down tack it down?

There is not a recommended method to installing the Ribbed Rubber Trailer Mat, # 3622RM. You could nail, tack, or glue the mat down to your trailer, it just depends on how you want to install the mat.
I went out to the warehouse a pulled the mat to try to recommend a good installation method. This mat is made of heavy-duty rubber material and depending on what you use your trailer for, you may be able to just lay a couple strips without having to secure the mat to the ground.
If you are using a horse trailer or you will typically be hauling large heavy objects, then you would probably be okay installing a few screws like part # TWSP25BK to keep the mat in place. This would allow you to easily remove the screws when it is time to give the entire trailer and mats a good cleaning.
If you are looking for a more permanent installation, then you could use glue or contact cement. Be sure you apply the glue across the entire surface to ensure you do not leave pockets for moisture to accumulate.
