This 15" x 6" Aluminum AM03 Series trailer wheel is rated for 2,960 lbs, giving it plenty of strength to handle serious hauling. With a 3.74" pilot hole diameter and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts, this wheel is designed for precise hub fitment that feels right when mounted. The even-numbered six-hole pattern spreads torque evenly around the hub, helping maintain stability and reducing vibration over long hauls. 1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Americana 15 inch by 6 inch AM03 series, a matte black, machined aluminum trailer wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this aluminum wheel's very durable, very lightweight and rustproof. And we mentioned it's the AM03 series wheel, which, if you notice, is a six open-spoke design and it has a matte black finish. And if you notice on this edge of the spokes or the edge of the openings, has a machined silver face on there, provides a nice, bold, sleek look. The black finish, as we mentioned, is a matte black finish.
They do use a clear coat on both the front and the back of the wheel to protect the finish. A few dimensions on this, the diameter is 15 inches, and when you measure the diameter, it's always measured inside to inside. So if we take our tape measure, if we go across, there's your 15-inch diameter. The width on this wheel is measured the same way, inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your six-inch wide.
Now this wheel does have a bolt pattern of 6 on 5 1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs like this one being six, it's pretty simple because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then measure across to the one right across from it, center to center, is gonna be 5 1/2 inches, so that's gonna be a 6 on 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern. This wheel does use a lug size of 1/2-inch by 20. Weight capacity on the wheel is 2,960 pounds.
Now one of the features I like on this wheel is the steel inserts that they put in the lug nut wells. That's where you put your lug nuts when you tighten your wheel down. And what's nice with those steel inserts, they'll help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub and they prevent the holes from elongating or wearing down. Eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now if you notice the center cap is not included.
If you do want one, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap. It'll have the same pilot, or the same diameter as this pilot hole right here. The pilot hole diameter on this is 3.74 inches. Now this wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J2530 standards. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Americana 15 inch by 6 inch AM03 series, matte black, machined aluminum trailer wheel.

The rims are fantastic, however the packaging is horrible. These rims apparently bounced back and forth in the box the entire time during shipping.

These aluminum wheels feel a lot more secure when torquing the lug nuts than the white steelies they replaced. Also look much better.

I have been happy with the quality of the products we have bought in the past, and have not had any issues.
This latest order has a few problems. one of the rims has been damaged along the edge, it is small and will not effect the bead sealing it is just a eye sore. I cannot wait to get a replacement I have already mounted the tire and installed it on a trailer. Three of the center caps are damaged and not useable. Again i could not wait for replacements since I am leaving with this trailer in 2 days to go out of state. I found the same center caps and purchased them at a local trailer place so I could keep things moving.
The rim is what it is, however I would like you to refund me the cost of the center caps.

Wheels are very close in pattern to the stock Ford Tremor wheels. Much better look on the trailer
I ordered 7 of these wheels. This is an exceptional wheel from Kenda USA. I really appreciate the steel inserts for the lug nuts. They definitely aid in keeping the lug nut torqued to spec. All the wheels came properly packaged and were a great price. One wheel came with an imperfection/damage and the manufacture was prompt to rectify immediately after I sent a video and pictures. I rate this wheel an A++ not to mention they look amazing. Thank you etrailer and Kenda.
Wanted a more modern look and these wheels are beautiful on my enclosed trailer.
Had these delivered and installed on our horse trailer. They look great. There were a couple scuffs from shipping but as this is a horse trailer I was not too concerned. They look great on the trailer.

Wheel arrived quickly and in perfect condition . Closest match I could find to my Ford Platinum stock wheels. This was just for my spare but I'll be ordering 4 more to switch the whole trailer over to these.
