Question:
I am interested in the Swagman XTC4 rack. I saw some reviews that said these racks hold 2 or 4 bikes. I will sometimes need to carry 4 bikes, but other times I may need to haul 3 or 2 or even just 1 bike. Will these racks allow all four bike carrying options?

Yes, the Quad, # S64692, will allow you to carry 1, 2, 3 or 4 bikes at a time. Keep in mind that due to the carrying capacity of this bike rack it will only fit in 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. As long as you have a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and do not exceed the weight capacity of the bike rack or your trailer hitch, then you will have no problem carrying up to 4 bikes.
If you plan on carrying any womens or childrens bikes, then I would recommend picking up the Swagman Easy-Out Adapter Bar, # 64005. The hooks on these bike racks are designed to secure the bikes by holding on to the horizontal bar on bike frames. This can be difficult with small or angled bike frames and this adapter bar will provide a level bar for the hooks. I have attached a review video of this adapter bar for you to check out as well.
