Question:
Does the draw Tite 36652 trailer hitch for the 2017 Buick LaCrosse require trimming the rear bumper fascia? If so, is it on the visible part of the bumper or hidden up underneath? Also, does installation require removal of the rear bumper or any other parts?

The Draw-Tite Receiver Hitch, part # 36652 for your 2017 Buick LaCrosse does require some fascia trimming, but the 5" x 6" area is located on the portion of the bumper fascia that's tucked on the underside of the vehicle, so it won't be visible.
As outlined in the attached installation instructions, you will need to temporarily remove the bumper fascia by first removing the license plate and taillights, so you can gain access to the last two fascia tabs that hold it in place.
Once the bumper fascia is removed, you'll also need to remove the bumper beam. To do this, you'll remove a nut and a bolt on each side, using a 15mm socket. Since the exhaust must be temporarily lowered for installation, I recommend using a strap, like # EM31350 to support it and avoid damaging it.
