Troubleshooting Ventline Roof Vent that Only Works When You Push On It

Question:

The bathroom Ventline fan worked great until one day it didn’t. Ive noticed if I push up just slightly on the center of the fan it operates at full speed. I’ve looked at it from all angles but don’t know what the problem is. How can I fix it?

Could be as simple as a wiring issue. You may have some corrosion on the wires that run to the motor of your Ventline fan and pushing on them moves the wires enough that they make solid contact. I'd inspect the wiring and see if just wiggling the wires makes a difference. If that doesn't solve the issue it's time for a new motor with the # BVD0218-00.
