Replacing a cracked or discolored skylight garnish means you need a proper fit without guesswork. This inner garnish fits standard 14" x 14" cutouts and diffuses harsh light, giving your ceiling a finished look and softer light inside.

Missing hardware during installation can slow things down if you're not prepared. This garnish installs using 1" screws, which are not included, and some people add butyl tape (sold separately) inside the flange. That tape can help block water from getting inside, while others skip it so any skylight leak shows up right away instead of being hidden. Having your materials ready and knowing how you want to seal it avoids delays once you start.
Note: Bubble height may vary slightly.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a Specialty Recreation universal inner garnish for your RV skylights. Now, folks, this is going to fit over a standard 14-inch wide by 22-inch cutout, and requires a minimum roof thickness of 1-1/2-inch thick. Now, this is very durable. It's what they call a cracked ice polycarbonate.
It's UV-resistant and impact-resistant as well. So it can take a lot of abuse, hail, debris, that kind of stuff, rain. It's a translucent material, so it's going to diffuse light and reduce glare at the same time. You would install this around the perimeter with small screws. Those are not included.
I do recommend you getting some, maybe some sealant that we carry here. That's for a skylight sealant, and that's item number SR86RR, and that's sold separately here. Now, the overall dimensions of this are actually 24 inches long by 16 inches wide and about 4-1/4 inches tall. Now, if you've never replaced one of these, we've got a couple videos on our website here at etrailer.com you can check out. I believe it's our installer, Shane, that's installing them on top of one of the campers or RVs.
And it's not too bad, just follow the instructions that come with the product, and you can watch the video as well if that helps you out. Well, folks, that's going to wrap up just a quick look together today. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
