Question:
2015 Ram 3500 SRW. Just installed the goose neck in my truck to utilize my BandW Companion hitch. Without weight on the slider the GN safety pin wont engage, once I put weight on it, it will engage and get stuck again with weight off the hitch. My truck does have a spray in liner, but my previous trucks did too and I never had this problem. Is this normal, or is something wrong?

I reached out to my contact at B&W regarding the issue you're having with the safety pin on your Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1314 with the Companion Slider # BWRVK3400 mounted. He said it sounds like the draw-down bolt on the slider base might just not be loosened up all the way.
In order to remove the safety pin on the Turnoverball, the draw-down bolt on the Companion first needs to be loosened or the pin will not disengage. I have attached an image that points out the draw-down bolt on the slider assembly that you can use for reference.
If you have already done this or loosening the bolt doesn't help, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.

I already have the pin bolt loose and the pin handle won’t move I assume that the pin is rusted in place
