How To Choose a Lube Plate for a 5th Wheel Hitch

How do i determine the size of plate to get? 10 inch or the 11.5. ?

The correct size lube plate to use will be based on the surface area of the skid plate on the 5th wheel hitch. The majority of 5th wheel hitches will use either a 10" or 12" lube plate. However, the overall diameter is not as important as the thickness is because certain 5th wheel hitches will actually state that you cannot go over a certain thickness which is why it is important to check the manual prior. With that being said, the 10" Diameter Lube Plate part # RP83002 which is only 3/16" thick works on most 5th wheel hitches so you should be just fine with this. This is also our most popular option by far.

The Lippert Never Fail Whisper Disk Lube Plate part # LC286160 is a rather odd size at 11-1/2" which not many 5th wheel hitches call for though it can be used on some.
