Does this hitch work with surge brakes boat trailer?

I spoke with Gen-Y about the Gen-Y Glyder Shock Absorbing Ball Mount part # 325-GH-12001 and they informed me that it can indeed be used with a trailer that has surge brakes. Therefore, the up and down cushioning mechanism will not have any affect on the in and out mechanism of the surge brake actuator. If you need a hitch ball as well, you can use part # 40038 for 2" or part # 63847 for 2-5/16".

Curious if you could use this Gen Y Glyder hitch along with a sway bar? If so what would you recommend for a smaller teardrop style travel trailer?

I don't recommend using a sway bar with the Gen-Y Glyder Ball Mount # 325-GH-12001. The movement will likely interfere with the friction bar's operation and there's really not a good space on the platform itself to weld or attach a sway bar tab.
