Question:
Hi, I received my brake replacement assemblies kit AKEBRK-35-SA, but no instructions were included. Can you tell me: - recommended torque for mounting bolts? - initial adjustment procedure? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The brake mounting hardware for the # AKEBRK-35-SA, which can be obtained with part # BIK-00, should be torqued between 45-70lbs during installation; if you don't have a torque wrench you'll want to tighten the bolts until the lock washer is flat against the backing plate.
In order to do the initial, manual adjustment on the # AKEBRK-35-SA you will use the star style adjustment wheel at the bottom of the assembly; this process is briefly shown around the 2:00 mark in the installation and review video that I've linked to this answer.
