Just finished rebuilding this trailer from the ground up. It was in pretty rough shape. Thanks to everyone at etrailer for the parts I needed for the rebuild

Still working perfectly.

Ordered four sets, only received two sets. Not charged for four but inconvenient to go out and purchase what I needed.

My 2012 travel trailer came equipped with 1-3/4” wide brakes, which is not a common size. When it was time to do maintenance I went to etrailer.com because of the wealth of information and advice available. After reading the information it became obvious that the best course of action would be to upgrade to 10 x 2-1/4” brakes and hubs. My supplies arrived in good shape, with the Dexter boxes inside of other boxes from etrailer. After watching helpful videos I installed the new brakes in a day. Things went smoothly, installing new complete brake sets is so much easier than messing around with individual parts, and probably about the same cost. Now came time to wear in the brakes and check things out. Beware that it is really tempting to not wait long enough for the brakes to cool in between evolutions where you apply them hard and go from 40 to 20 MPH. They can get pretty hot. The end result is that now we have much more braking power, the braking is smoother, and we have confidence in our ability to stop which is priceless. Not having to adjust our brakes is a plus. We are very pleased with our Dexter never adjust brakes and especially pleased with the exceptional customer service and expert advice from etrailer. Add in the price guarantee and dealing with them is truly a no-brainer.

I ordered trailer brakes from a local auto parts store. they showered up without mounting hardware. After a couple of weeks of dead end time wasting; I called etrailer and learned why I should have just ordered from these folks in the beginning. They’ve followed up twice in the past year to ensure they mounting hardware was exactly what I needed and that it fit properly. A person could not ask for a better company to do business with, and I have no plans to purchase any trailer related items anywhere else

Replaced my left and right brake assemblies on my 2000 Jayco Eagle UDK 16, popup camper. No problem removing the 4 nuts I sprayed with penetrating oil the day before, or the hydraulic line. I used new mounting hardware BIK-00 and installed the new units without any issues. I did bleed the lines and cylinders, and the brakes really didn't need more then a few clicks to adjust, best the brakes have every worked since I owned the camper, I am the second owner. I also replaced the hitch coupler / master cylinder with a new unit from etrailer AT82543, Jayco used 4 bolts to secure it, super easy to change. Parts arrived when expected and in great condition! Thanks etrailer.com!

by:

Exactly the hardware needed to mount up the 10" brake assembly AKEBRK-35-SA. I like the price of the loose nuts and lock washers instead of the packaged items.

by:

I received my brakes quicker than expected and they were an exact fit. Installation was easy. I have a 7000 lbs travel trailer with 2 axles. These brake assemblies are a great value since the magnet alone cost $20. The brakes self adjusted after a few trips around the block. This is the only way to go if you need to replace your brake shoes or magnets. This is a quicker and easier way to go. Don't forget to purchase the nut to mount them with. They don't come with replacement nuts. I won't have to touch the brakes for another 5 years or so!

by:

Generally speaking the product seems like a good buy. I looked at the different options at Etrailer and decided on the Dexter units even though they were slightly higher - made in USA. My package of parts arrived 3 days after ordering - a good deal considering the freight cost was $0. One of the brake assemblies had the self adjuster knocked halfway of in spite of the stiff spring hold it together to the shoes. I suspect this happened during shipment and due to bulk packing the 4 assemblies in a box. I would suggest that Etrailer warn their customers to look at their parts carefully upon receipt. I also was concerned about one of the 7/16" mounting studs being knocked out. I found the stud in the carton and reset it into the backing plate and did not have any issues in the installation.

All in all the process went well from ordering to installation. I appreciated all of the helpful videos on line that helped with the ordering process and gave me a heads up on making sure to order nuts, washers and plugs for the adjusting ports.

I would have given the review a 5 except for the packaging which could stand a little improvement.

by:

Thank you Rose G. for making the buying experience easy. You answered all my questions and sent all the information I needed. The parts arrived on time and are exactly what I ordered. Installation was easy with the online tutorial.
Can't beat the service, quality and price at etrailer.

They are nuts and washers so can't say much except they complimented the replacement brake/hub assemblies exactly. Etrailer is my go to for all things trailers. Battery boxes, lighting, hitches, you name it.

by:

Thought about replacing brake shoes but so happy I chose to purchase the whole package including magnets, backing plate, springs etc. Perfect fit and very happy with performance.

by:

I just purchased 4-brake assemblies from etrailer for my enclosed trailer. I have ordered from them on a couple of other occasions and they are a pleasure to deal with. They sell a good product, Their customer service is very great, and I have always received my shipment on time. I will continue to do business with them.

by:

installed easy, works great. Used on a ALKO axle 3500. Hope to replace my other trailer brakes if I end up keeping it. Fast delivery.

by:

Excellent condition

by:

Added brakes to my 6X10 Wells Cargo enclosed trailer. They are working great. Easy install. As always, new trailer brakes take some time to wear in before you get full "lock - up" level braking. I'd buy these again. As always, great order and order fulfillment experience with etrailer.

by:

A year ago I ordered 4 trailer brake assembly sets, brake drums and bearings. They arrived quickly and in good condition. Everything fit well and I had no problems when I towed my trailer across the country. I would definitely buy from Etrailer again.

by:

Extraordinary product support made my rv brake installation easy.

All are working just fine after more than a year. Glad we had the brakes on our Aliner popup through the Rocky Mountains during our trip to the West Coast the summer of 2016.

I Recently bought a used toy hauler and needed to replace the electric brakes. I started looking on the web for a company with a good reputation and found a great deal of positive feedback for etrailer.com. So, I purchased the brakes and bearings from etrailer. The prices were reasonable, they have a great deal information for DIY folks to maintain their trailers. I ordered early evening west coast time, later that evening I had the shipping information including the tracking info, material arrived on the day is was supposed to be here. I opened package and everything was there, in good condition, assembly was as easy as it gets. I leave in one week for a 1400 mile trip and have no worries about my brakes and the bearings. I have a few additional improvements to make on the trailer and plan to purchase my materials from ETRAILER. Great service and good prices.

by:

Last year I replaced the electric brakes, drums, seals and bearings on my horse trailer. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick. All the parts fit perfectly.

by:

Purchased new backing plates assemblies and drum assemblies 2 to replace worn out parts and 2 for installation on an axle that didn't have brakes on at all. Parts fit great and have been working flawlessly for a year. Great parts, prices, and shipping time.

Thanks,

Brad B.

by:

I was not impressed. These nuts are a odd size (18 mm-11/16) not standard in any metric set. I was forced to buy a separate wrench.

No problems after initial install

by:

The shipping was excellent and in time to start our trip. Products were what was ordered. Trailer brakes act. Since knowing what the year, make and model of your RV won't do a bit of good for gathering the correct part numbers you may need. The videos on this site are invaluable. They have individual videos of the the parts and then videos of installation of the parts. Also questions are answered in Q&A and then there is also trouble shooting. One of the most professional and friendly online suppliers I have ever used. I am a first time customer of eTrailer and have shopped online for decades.
These guys are the real deal,
Joe

by:

etrailer.com is my only source for trailer parts. It will continue to be as long as customer service continues to be a priority, as it is now. The information on the website--articles and videos--is extremely helpful, as are the good people working at etrailer. Keep up the good work folks and you will continue to do well with your business.

by:

Probably could have re-used the nuts that attached the original brake units to my axle, but opted to replace the nuts and add locknuts when I replaced the brakes. For the very modest cost, I'm really glad I went ahead and replaced all the hardware.

Very happy with product, cost, ease of doing business with eTrailer, and fast shipping.

by:

These nuts and lock washers were exactly what I needed to replace the old and rusty set on my old brakes.

I recommend getting a set every time you replace the the brakes on your trailer or camper.

  • Will the 10" Hydraulic Trailer Brakes Fit a 2004 EZ Loader Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
In order to determine if the Hydraulic Trailer Brake part # AKUBRK-35R for right hand side or part # AKUBRK-35L for left hand side will fit your 2004 EZ Loader Boat Trailer you will first want to confirm that you have hydraulic brakes which is more than likely the case. Then, you will want to know your axle capacity which can be found on the centerline of the axle. These assemblies are rated for use on axles up to 3,500 lbs. Once the axle capacity is confirmed you will then want to measure...
