Question:
I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado, 3500. Short bed with the puck system. I need a sliding hitch but hoping for something that's not crazy heavy. I know with a slider there's only so far you can go in that regard but I would appreciate your best recommendation. Thank you.

I definitely understand your desire to have a light weight 5th wheel trailer hitch that you can easily take in and out of the bed of your 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. Part of the benefit of those factory pucks is the completely clean bed it allows once the hitch is removed.
The lightest sliding 5th wheel hitch we have available for your truck is with the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Ultra Slide # DM6076P-UL-16K, although it will need to be paired with the Rail Adapter # DM6333 for mounting. The hitch by itself weighs around 185 pounds, so it's not too difficult a job for a couple of people. Keep in mind though that with this setup to create a clean bed you will also need to remove the Rail Adapter, which by itself weighs about 100 pounds.
If you'd rather not deal with a separate rail adapter your best option is with the B&W OEM Companion Slider # BWRVK3775, which will drop right into those factory pucks for a secure attachment. This particular hitch also has a higher towing capacity than the Hijacker (20,000 pounds compared to 16,000 pounds) and more slider travel for better cab clearance (12" compared to 8").
The Companion does have a heavier overall weight of around 254 pounds, but the nice thing about the Companion design is that it can be quickly and easily broken down into two components that are a bit more manageable when it's time for removal or mounting. The head by itself weighs 73 pounds while the base weighs 181 pounds.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations that you can check out as well.
