I'm glad you know that there is going to be a certain cost associated with flat towing (also called dinghy towing) your 2020 Ram 1500, but there are certain ways you can save money while still being both safe and comfortable.

There are a number of parts you'll need, starting with base plates, the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522203-5 (fits all but Rebel models of '20 Ram 1500), which also needs a compatible tow bar, with the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 being the most economically viable option and will track your Ram well behind your motorhome, though it is recommended you add the Roadmaster Release Tool for Motor Home Mounted Tow Bars # RM-066 to help make disconnecting your tow bar a little easier when necessary. You will also need to connect safety cables, the Roadmaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643.

A great way to save some money when flat towing your 2020 Ram is by using magnetic tow lights instead of a wiring harness, and for this you'll want the Peterson Magnetic Tow Lights # PE26UR. The supplemental braking system is often the biggest expense when flat towing, but the most vital for safety and comfort and for this you will need the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 along with the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 which ensures your braking system is always working.
