will a propane regulator used on a 30lb. bottle work on a 100 pound bottle if you switch them?

You can use the same regulator that you have with a 30 lb or 100 lb tank. However, some high pressure appliances do require a 2 stage regulator like part # 108221 if you are currently using a single stage regulator like part # CAM59013 and your appliance is not working properly then more than likely the single stage regulator is not maintaining the pressure needed.
If the hose that you have from the regulator to the 100 lb bottle does not fit, you probably need a POL hose. I have attached our selection of POL hoses available.
