Recommended Regulator For Champion Generator Model # 200988

Question:

Im looking for a dual stage propane regulator for my champion generator: champion says i need to meet the following requirements: The generator requires ½ PSI and a flow rate up to 76,000 BTU/hr. when under full load. Do you have a regulator that meets the above requirements, for a 100lb tank?

Expert Reply:

Yes, but the orientation of how the regulator is mounted will matter because the vents on the regulator will need to always be facing down to prevent them from getting clogged. If you plan on mounting the regulator horizontally or vertically you'll need to choose the corresponding regulator.

Both of these regulators have an 11" WC rating, which I confirmed with Champion as being an acceptable rating, and have a maximum BTU rating of 400,000 BTU's so they'll have more than enough capacity for your generator.
