Updated 10/28/2025 | Published 11/07/2019

Question:

SportRack Roof Rack # SR1002 , I lost the keys. Cylinder has 600 stamped on it. Do you have a replacement key for this?

I believe what you need is the # THKEYN009 replacement key. We've gotten questions about a number 600 lock core/key, however, the number 600 was never used for the production of lock cores or keys in the Thule or SportRack roof rack systems.

What we've found is that the number was simply being read upside down and in reality it was number 009, for which # THKEYN009 is the correct replacement.

If you are certain that is not the case then your only other option is to replace the lock cylinder and keys with # 05011500000. This would require a locksmith to remove the lock though.

@Pat what rack do you have and what exactly does the lock core say? Sometimes when using a new Thule replacement key for the first time you have to lightly tap the key all the way into the lock core the first time.

@Pat Sportrack definitely uses Thule keys so you are on the right track. Did you try tapping the key all the way in yet?
