Can you tell me what all parts are needed to flat tow my 2020 Jeep Wrangler? I have the factory bumper, it isn't one of those big off-road ones. I know it's a pretty big list, which is why I'm looking for some help. Thanks!

We have all of the parts you need to flat tow your 2020 Jeep Wrangler, and while it may seem like a lot of parts, it's actually just four basic components - base plates on the Jeep, a tow bar to connect the Jeep to your motorhome, wiring to power your Jeep's lights while it is being towed, and a braking system. Here is a list of what you'll need:
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights # RM-676
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
- Supplemental Braking System: SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 with Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490
The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates are great because they have removable tabs which means your Jeep is going to keep it's clean look when you aren't flat towing. The Nighthawk tow bar is a great option because it has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, along with integrated safety cables so you won't have to purchase them separately, saving you an additional expense.
The Flexo-Coil wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your Wrangler's electrical system safe, and the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO is strongly recommended because it is a one-time install which will never require any type of removal or reactivation, and gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. This results in much smoother braking than most systems which send out a pre-set amount of braking power and thus are more rigid.
You may also need a high-low adapter in order to keep your Wrangler level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter, as well as a link to our selection of adapters. I have just ordered the roadmaster Trailhawk and the quick connect base plates for the use on a 2020 Jeep wrangler unlimited with plastic bumper. My question is does anyone have the ground to center measurements for the pins that connect the roadmaster to the direct connect base plate attached to the Jeep Wrangler unlimited? I am trying to determine if I need a drop down hitch on our 2021 Dynamax and the Jeep which are ordered and soon to arrive....Thank you
