Question:

I have a 2019 f-350 crew cab w 8’ bed. I measure 63-½” between the bed rails from side to side. I’d like to get the pro xr and put a weather guard 62” long all purpose chest up agai st the cover canister. This tool box is 1” below the top of the bed rails. I understand that the cover side rails might interfere with this tool box. Do you know how far the side rails go down below the top of the bed rails? And how far the side rails go in from the bed rails? Thanks!

I checked with Retrax and they were able to provide me with some measurements that should be helpful for you, but the long story short- the tool box you're wanting to use with the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau # RTT-80384 would not fit under the cover once it's mounted.

The tonneau cover extends 1-1/4" out past the bed rails and down 1-1/2", but because of the bearing system under the cover that helps with rolling, they mentioned that you'll need a tool box less than 59-5/8" wide (long) to keep from interfering with the retraction of the cover. I've attached a diagram to show these dimensions more clearly, but your current tool box won't work with the PRO XR cover.

If you wanted to look for a new tool box that would work with the RetraxPRO XR, have a look at the UWS Truck Bed Toolbox # UWS01042 which is 58" long x 10" tall and 18" wide. The low profile design should work perfectly for your 2019 F-350.
