If you take a look at the owner's manual for an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System like part # EQ37100ET you will see that it is recommend to inflate the airbags to the desired towing psi before setup. That said, the great thing about using airbags and a weight distribution system together is that you can play with the psi and spring bar tension to get the perfect amount of comfort and support.
Please note, if you are going to play with the psi and spring bar tension then you really ought to invest in an air compressor system if you don't already have one as this will make things much easier. I recommend the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System part # AL25980 because it is wireless so no airlines or wires need to be routed into the cab. This system will work with any aftermarket airbags.
