Question:

My Montana is also prewired for a Furrion camera system on the rear of the trailer. I see that there are 2 different systems that are supposed to work...Observation and Backup. Ive heard that the Observation system is the better choice for all around use and potentially stronger camera to display reception. Is the difference between these systems in the monitor or the camera? I see only one stand-alone camera for Furrion, FCN48TASF. Is this the camera used in both systems? I already have the 4.3inch Furrion monitor but no camera. Thanks

There were no physical differences between a backup and observation camera kits. The difference was how the trailer is wired as that will then determine if the camera kit operates as backup system or an observation system. If the power wire for the pre-wired bracket is ran to the running light circuit then the camera will act as an observation system but if it is ran to the reverse lights then the camera will work as a backup system. The majority of pre-wired brackets are ran to the running light circuit but you can change that if you want.

The systems have now been upgraded. In regard to the Furrion Wireless RV Camera Systems, there are two different versions. The Vision S part # FOS43TASF which is the newest system model and the # FOS05TASF which has a slightly larger screen and can be expanded to a total of 4 cameras.
