Comparing ProPride and B and W Continuum Weight Distribution for Winnebago Minnie FLX2306

Updated 04/30/2025 | Published 08/06/2023

Question:

I am new at trailer towing and while I have looked at the Pro pride I have also recently looked at the BandW continuum. I plan on going on some long trips and like the ability to back up the trailer without adjust the hitch. That said, I would like to know your opinion on which hitch system would work best for my vehicle and trailer. 2018 Ford Expi. with built in trailer brake Heavy duty tow Pkg towing a Winnebago minnie flx2306 25ft. Goal is to have the least sway and great leveling with easy backing. THank you in advance

Both the ProPride 3P part # PR57QR and the B and W Continuum part # BW78FR allow backing up and work extremely well but since there isn't a ProPride system that would be ideal for the tongue weight of your Winnebago Minnie FLX2306 I would go with the # BW78FR as it has a tongue weight range that matches what your trailer would have.

With any WD system that allows backing up you will want to make sure that you are backing up mostly in a straight line as tight turns can cause jackknifing issues.

Interesting convo and I am trying to make a similar decision. I have a 2020 Ram 1500 V8 Hemi, 4 inch lift on 35s, and I am about to purchase a Grand Design 2970RL. Between these two hitches which is the better option for my truck and trailer? I rented and towed a 2670RL fairly well with normal sway bars but worry about sway with the larger trailer and want to get the best set up.

@JeffreyL I'd go with the Continuum for the reasons listed above.

@JamesonC Thank you for your quick response. Can I ask you why this would be your recommendation? Clearly, there is a cost savings weighing in favor of that choice but would it perform or function differently in any way given my set up?

@JeffreyL What we have found is that the performance between the two is very similar and the Continuum is a lot less expensive and a lot less elaborate and heavy. Full disclosure we don't carry Propride anymore either but I still was picking the Continuum when we still carried it.
